During the 2024–2025 season, Compagnie Contour Progressif carried out a large-scale cultural outreach project entitled Au croisement des arts, in partnership with Escales Danse, involving six primary school classes from the Val d’Oise region:
– 2 classes from Ormesson Primary School in Enghien-les-Bains
– 2 classes from Maurice Berteaux Primary School in Cormeilles-en-Parisis
– 2 classes from Les Touleuses Primary School in Cergy
The project began with performances of the show Diotime et les lions, presented in an in situ format, directly in the classrooms of each participating school. This experience was then extended through nearly one hundred hours of artistic workshops combining dance, singing, and visual arts, led by Lilou Robert, Céline Cartillier, and Mylène Benoit.
The project concluded with a collective presentation on June 5 on the stage of Studio 240, giving the pupils the opportunity to share the outcomes of their artistic journey with one another.
“I discovered that they had real potential in terms of bodily expression. I noticed that some children became increasingly comfortable with their bodies over the course of the sessions.”

“They reflected on gender equality. Why couldn’t Diotime fight the lions like the boys? It was also an opportunity to ask questions such as ‘What does it mean to grow up?’ and ‘At what point do you become grown-up?’”
