Phonolux is an interactive device that transforms human voice into light.
This large-scale “light organ” consists of 25 projectors whose behavior varies according to the timbre, frequency, and volume of visitors’ voices. Phonolux invites participants to compose their own vocal and luminous score, either alone or together. The space, transformed into a giant instrument, comes to life through improvisation.
This installation is a component of the cycle#2 PERCEIVE, within the FAIRE MONDE project.
